Who do you think will replace him as a speed threat and on end-arounds, etc? Especially with Landry's status in question too

landry's status isn't in question; but I share your concern. outside of RR we're looking at a bunch of true/redshirt freshmen.

I agree, I picked OU over the tigers for this reason and few others. I don't think we are going to put up huge numbers in this game. Our defense will have to wrap up and tackle, something I saw a problem with last season. Also if we can't establish a serious running game they are going to come after Lee. I want LSU to win in my heart, but I have this feeling we are a bit overrated this season.

OU 28
LSU 16

Only one Tiger TD tonite.

while I think Shep was ready to break out as a more "true" WR this yr, I'm confident that the young guys can replace him - by committee if need be.

I'd look for Beckham, Turner or Gore to get a WR sweep or 2 to show we still have that threat, and then fake that play and go up top. kinda like we did down the stretch last yr.

Not me. We've recruited well at the wr position. I'm sure one of the young guys can step up.

No need to fear... These young guys will show why they were highly recruited!

You'll be sad tonight when the tigers stomp a new one. You've been here since June and finally decide to start posting crap in the rant. Lovely

DeAngelo Peterson will get his number called more. And Spencer Ware will be a check down for Lee coming out of the backfield, dude has some sick hands for a RB.

RR, D Pete, and Spencer Ware will be getting lots of looks down the field and out of the backfield for Ware. I'm not THAT worried since we at least have these 3 fairly proven guys. Add to the fact that they don't have Harris and have to start a true freshman at corner makes it more interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU actually shows a decent aerial attack this game.

Entitled to his opinion.

When you take off the P&G glasses, a loss seems more plausible than not.

Chavis defenses against the spread have historically been favorable to the offense. We have seen nothing close to the spread speed and talent we are facing tonight.

Our big uglies on the OL and DL better be ready to go to war tonight.

Our O will score more than one TD.

young wr's can be a problem because they have to read the blitz, and T-BOB starting concerns me he's just to small 6-3 275. In the past he's had problems, we have not been able to run when he's in the game.

He's a senior now and I heard he's up over 300 pnds I hope thats true, and he comes through for the team. I hope he's improved!

Also we lost PP,shep and nevis to the NFL it's going to be a tough game for LSU. Expect ou to blitz alot.

Let's discuss who will be on the field as opposed to discussing who won't be. Leave that to the national media. LSU is fine and will show tonight why it's essential to recruit top 5 classes consistently.

The first part is true simply because Chavis didn't attack and let these spread teams dictate plays. The 2nd part just isn't close to being true. Oregon has some speed but they aren't faster than lsu across the board. Speed isn't the issue.

I will be happy if they win, however I have some conserns, I think Oregon has more speed than people give them credit for. LSU hasn't seen that it could give them problems. If we have to constantly blitz to pressure the QB we could get burned and give up big plays for big gains.

I don't post on here normally because I dont want to discuss the same three topics over and over again.

ODB and Landry may be the most college ready incoming freshmen WRs we have had at LSU, and we are just blessed to have them in the same year and a year were they are needed more than ever. Both run great routes and are very quick (ODB has elite speed) which is key for JLee and play to his strengths
