Yea it a total piece of shite. This will never make it to court, unless they plead down.

And it will cost thousands and his career to prove his innocence. That's how the system works....someone points a finger and you get arrested. Then you have to pony up $$$$$$$$ to prove they were wrong.

You are a dumb mother fricker. He said they would keep the facts that had not been released quiet. Making it sound like they had more facts.

No he didn't. All he said is what they used to get the warrant and that they were done talking about it. Btw, Nathan Fisher has the screaming red arse right now because he feels the BRPD isn't bothering to even look at was he's presenting. This will get way uglier before it's all over.

If the only reason they where arrested, was based off of witness statements.

Then per La R.S. 14:103 Disturbing the peace

A. Disturbing the peace is the doing of any of the following in such manner as would foreseeably disturb or alarm the public:

(1) Engaging in a fistic encounter; or

(2) Addressing any offensive, derisive, or annoying words to any other person who is lawfully in any street, or other public place; or call him by any offensive or derisive name, or make any noise or exclamation in his presence and hearing with the intent to deride, offend, or annoy him, or to prevent him from pursuing his lawful business, occupation, or duty; or

(3) Appearing in an intoxicated condition; or

(4) Engaging in any act in a violent and tumultuous manner by any three or more persons; or

(5) Holding of an unlawful assembly; or

(6) Interruption of any lawful assembly of people; or

(7) Intentionally engaging in any act or any utterance, gesture, or display designed to disrupt a funeral, funeral home viewing, funeral procession, wake, memorial service, or burial of a deceased person.

(8) Intentionally blocking, impeding, inhibiting, or in any other manner obstructing or interfering with access into or from any building or parking lot of a building in which a funeral, wake, memorial service, or burial is being conducted, or any burial plot or the parking lot of the cemetery in which a funeral, wake, memorial service, or burial is being conducted.

B.(1) Whoever commits the crime of disturbing the peace shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than ninety days, or both.

(2) Whoever commits the crime of disturbing the peace as provided in Paragraphs (A)(7) and (8) of this Section shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than six months, or both.

Everyone involved in the encounter should have been taken into custody.

They are trying to get it out of their court so someone else can deal with the mess. If this ever goes to trial I'll be extremely surprised.

Pretty sure I read they had obtained video of it from a near by business before the arrests.

Well to be fair, they probably had hospital reports and actual physical evidence of a battery(like pictures and stuff). Not just some witness statements.

Then what took so long and why not just say that at this point instead of pinning a fricking felony warrant on witness statements? This whole thing has spun beyond out of control.

The 49 bags of evidence from JJ's apartment were probably irrelevant too.

Something that may also play into this; Other evidence may have been presented that we are unaware of. If someone did have cell video them could turn it in under the condition that they remain anonymous. There has to be more to it than we are allowed to know.
