Not a serious injury. I'm getting tired of this statement. It's about as serious as a cracked rib. Some stiffness and soreness but a huge majority of the time they require no medical attention whatsoever.

People quit saying this!
Fracture of the distal tuft of the 3rd digit means that you have a fracture of the tip of your 3rd finger. that is specific and that is what is needed to define a fracture. If it were severe or acute fxs then he would still be in the hospital, not out in 2hrs.
