Yeah. That is him.
And it was the first incident we knew about with him. There were others we did not know about, but he was gone for the Fred's incident which had far less publicity than last week's.

i looked it up...it was for 2nd degree assault
seems like les has set the precedence, will be interesting if jefferson is charged

He set the precedence with Anderson.
If he starts issuing selective punishments for the same crime/incidents that he handled a couple of years ago he will start to lose control.

Well they weren't exactly the same, Kyle by himself put a kid in the hospital.

He's already set that precedent with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th chances RP got.

It's the way of the world. All players, employees, relatives are not treated equally. Just the way things are. Players will be given more benefit of doubt based on who they are, and what they do.

WHY does this matter so much??? He is part of THE TEAM.

Here is LSU's press release back following that incident:
Sounds like Les has his answer on what will happen to some of these players, if not all 4, if they are charged.
quote:
04/19/07: The LSU Athletic Department reported today that LSU football coach Les Miles dismissed freshman DB Troy Giddens, freshman OL Zhamal Thomas and sophmore OL Kyle Anderson from the team.
"There is a standard that we insist upon with members of our football team when representing this university, our community and the state of Louisiana," Miles said in a press release.
"When that standard isn't met some adjustments must be made. In this instance, it's the dismissal of these three players. It's unfortunate, but this action is necessary. I wish these young men well in their future endeavors."
Twenty-year old Kyle Anderson was booked for second-degree battery after a fight at Fred's Bar early Monday morning. The 6'4", 280lb OT was arrested after allegedly throwing a punch outside the bar, a popular LSU hangout. Police say the fight resulted in another man being treated for a broken nose. Anderson has yet to run a play for LSU and has been suspended from the team.

You KNOW it matters, I know it matters, Les Miles knows it matters.

i'll say this, that shite aint good

So LES should NOT suspend him????

Most of the RP incidents was him being a total jackass.
How many of those incidents resulted in RP getting charged for 2nd degree assault? How about 0?

I don't know. I don't have enough information to make that call.
If he was involved in a fight I would say yes at least for a game. But I am not Les Miles in charge of of a multi million dollar program.
What I would do and you would do with a simple click of a mouse isn't what a coach is going to do with his job, over 100 players and dozens of support staff affected by the decision.
My guess is Miles will do what is necessary, not what is "right or wrong." I am not advocating anything, just predicting.
