If JJ is gone, could/will Russell Shepard get some/more reps at QB?

Not saying I don't trust Lee or Mett, but could RS fill the running threat in the pocket JJ had? I'm just talking about specially designed plays, while Lee/Mett take majority of the snaps.

I'm gonna do my best to stay out of this one. I feel I've stated my opinion quite clearly in regards to Russell Shepard and the QB position.

He hasn't taken any meaningful snaps at QB in all these years we've been desperate to find a quarterback.

What makes anyone think that when we have 2 (3 if jefferson is innocent, which doesn't look promising) quarterbacks now? If he wasn't willing to put Shep in over lee during all his struggles, he certainly won't do it now, with Mett (the QB of the future) waiting in the wings.

I just don't see it

It may be a possibility, but after our predictability over the last few years based on formation and personel, I hope we don't do this. Id rather just play him as QB than broadcast our play to the other team.

No. I think Coach Stud and Coach Krag will just adjust their playcalling and gameplan to the strengths of Lee and Mett. That should mean a lot less zone reads and Zero short side options.

You see, when an offense finishes 107th in the country.....You know, 12 spots better than triple option running Georgia Tech, it seems to be a fair question to me.

Russell Shepard would have been fine at QB. We chose to let Jefferson run zone read, and option instead because "he could throw."
