Effect of the current Parking Lot Debacle on the whole season.

Championships require more than just throwing talent on the field. Many a good football team didn't win on the field because of factors other than a lack of talent. Would it be an understatement to say that the repercussions of the events of this one night have the potential to have a huge impact on the whole season due to the huge distraction this could cause early in the season, not to mention the possible impact of having suspended players sitting on the bench. Point being, losses to Oregon and Missippi State puts the NC and SEC title in serious jeaporday. So far we have players guilty of breaking curfew, fighting and no telling what else. One part of a championship team is the intangible called team unity. I wonder where that stands right now?

I think people are making a mountain out of a molehill. These kids were stupid in these actions, all parties. However, for every person on here posting about the catastrophe that is a fight at a bar, each poster on this site has likely been involved in the same thing. There aren't the number of fights that there were at the bar, say ten years ago, but it still occurs.
People need a little perspective here, and many, like the OP, are acting like this is the end of the world as we know it. It's not. No kid on this team will be unable to play good football because they got in a fight a few weeks ago. That's ridiculous.

I'm not willing to say the whole team's unity in in shambles because of what has been reported so far. But I am willing to say this is an indicator of one person (JJ) and his lack of absolute commitment to the welfare of the team. Social life does not need to include boozing and bar-hopping and brawling into the wee hours of the night, regardless of who caused it or why or who else was in it. When does the so-called maturity of a senior player begin to kick in, in terms of exercising good judgment?

What about the majority of the team that wasn't involved. Are they all thrilled their teammates brought this kind of attention to the football team. Furthermore, are the players that were involved all puffed up about their actions that night. If given the chance, would they do it all over again?

How easy people forget how it is to be 20 years old. Every single poster on this board is posting from the maturity of their current age, not from the perspective of when they were 20. And they sound completely naive. We hold football players to a higher standard, but they're still kids and they're still going to make stupid decisions. How could a group of guys coming together to get in a fight be a problem of unity. If anything, it shows unity, including a lack of leadership and maturity.

Here's a easier question. Do you feel just as good about the season right now as you did three days ago? Another option could be, Do you feel even better about the season?

unity shown by most of the unity council was nice since some of the players listed were unity council members

this is the problem.
you're assuming he was drinking. i'm not saying he wasn't, but you can't say for sure that he was unless you saw him.
