Can no body handle their own business these days? I'm in the military, I have a bunch of drunkin' retarded friends who go out looking for fights... I think it's retarded. If it's you vs them one on one that is different, but when it becomes to be more than that you have to know to walk away. It's not worth it in the end.
Living where I live is almost just like being at LSU. They know you are in the military, especially the cops... So your best bet would just be walking away. I don't understand why the art of just walking away is what it is to society.
