He has been playing with their U-20 team. What makes you think they keep him ? He will be back in the MLS soon. IMO.

This is not good news for us Timbers fans.

He's a good MLS player. I'd take him over most MLS left backs.

This. He wasn't ever THAT bad in the MLS. He is just out of form on the international level. Faster play.

MLS is improving though...certainly it's better than when he left it.

And he was the best in the league when he left.

Fair enough. I'll give him an honest shot. He can't do worse than the torch job Barrera did on him in the Gold Cup.

He was a left mid when he left. And certainly not the best one in the league.

I like Chabala and I like Nagbe. I suppose bornstein could make a positive impact off the bench.

This would be a great pickup for Portland if they can get him. Timbers defense is weak, and with Bornstein they immediately have one of the best left backs in MLS.

How much is the jew valued at? Would PTFC possibly have to DP him because of costs? I'm deferring to you on this cause you know the MLS rules/players better than me. BTW, I visited Jeld-Wen Field last week when I was in Portland...even picked up a couple scarves. I'm an official MLS fan now for better or worse.

Bornsuck hasn't played left back for anyone other than Bob Bradley in 3 or so years. He played left mid for Chivas once the got Ante Jazic...
