I'm not chomping at the bit to get Aggie. Yes there are new markets, but I don't think they'll be this mass exodus of Texas recruits going to LSU and SEC schools and if you bring Aggie in the SEC then you may also lose LA recruits to the TAMU. Plus you could actually see recruits from Texas more likely to stay in the state if playing an SEC schedule is so advantageous they can do it in Aggieland.

A lot of people in Texas both Aggies and Longhorns look down on SEC schools and states. Plus adding more schools makes it harder for LSU to get the BCS title game which is what matters. I'd rather blow-out Tulane than have a 9th SEC game or even a 10th SEC game.

I can't wait honestly. aTm gives LSU a chance at a true rivalry with all the bad blood from the 80s and 90s.

The SEC is going to have to expand at some point to keep up in the scope of college football, might as well do it now.

I admit that seeing the aggieband in Tiger stadium was cool, but Aggies are just wierd. I mean the students who go there seem to be missing a chromosone.

But seriously, I get the expansion thing, but if bringing in the state of Texas is so important for markets then let's bring in two Texas schools. I'd also rather take VaTech but would ask Maryland first and add FSU.

I don't. As much as I hate Texas, I would prefer them. Austin is 1000000x better than College Station. If I gotta put up with Texans, at least let it be in a better city.

Yeah I agree. Texas is the real prize not Aggie.

Yeah, if we want the SEC to go the way of the SWC and Big 12-2(3).

I'd rather stay at 12. All they will do is water us down.

We all know that Texass won't come because they can't have their way like they did with the SWC and the Big 8 and Big 12.

What is there to say that they aren't a strong possiblity as the 14th member for the SECE? There is no way the SEC stays at 13 teams, they are waiting for number 14 to offical extend offers.

I'd rather not expand. This will eventually lead to a few 16-team conferences, and eventually playoffs. I'm one of the few that doesn't want a playoff.

Not nearly as much. And I'm not anti-playoffs for all sports or anything. College baseball has the best playoff system around and I love it.

But I prefer the way college football does it for college football only.

Not a good way to try to convince someone a play off is a good thing. LOTS of people don't like the NFL.

I'm not trying to convince you. But clearly your against change. I guess you were against the SEC expanding when they added S. Carolina and Arkansas. Look how bad that made the SEC.

I'm sure if college football added a playoff system, and used the bowl games as locations and it made ratings go up, ticket demand go up, and made the bowl actually "mean" something, that would be a bad thing.

Even if the sec expands to 16, I still wouldn't want a&m.
