Aggie misconceptions/traditions

A&M misconceptions, GOOD GOD, there are so many and its pretty damn annoying lol. First I guess, Yell leaders. Yeah its seems pretty gay from the outside prespective, but it stems from our all-guy military background. Honestly, its really cool that we coordinate the yells/cheers we do with 80,000 fans. However, I don't get why we can't have cheerleaders too.(Aggies have hot women, we should show them off)
A&M's precious grass. The only place you can't be on the grass is around the Memorial Student Center. It honors all fallen Aggies in war, and there's been lot, sadly. It's a place of great reverence and honor for men and women who bravely served their country. We have quite a few medal of honors which is really cool and a testament to Aggie bravery. Plus we're in a drought dammit, back off. Also no hats are worn inside at the MSC, gentlemen.
The Ugly campus. Yeah not much to argue here, its a huge campus without much aesthetic appeal. Architecture is dated, not timeless like it should be, and very vanilla. But we do have certain bright spots, especially around main campus. Nobody really walks all over campus to see them.
Kyle field. Yeah it's a tackle box. But I love it, definitely unique. Needs a face-lift(we're getting one soon) but solid stadium.Yes it is very loud, arguably up there with death valley. Great atmosphere too. One of CFB's best

watch these.
Gamedays. Great gameday atmosphere, everyone is pumped. Tailgating is ok, but getting better. Its split, and literally divided on different parts of campus. I wish there was a bigger place by the stadium where it could all be, spence park is big but not big enough. We have a TON of slampieces, like most colleges, and sundresses with boots is the go-to outfit. love it.
The corp. I hate when it's construed as "fake" army or "dressup." A lot of these kids graduate and join the military as officers, I want to say 50-40% could be wrong. That should be respected, it is an officer training school. Many kids have fought and died. Having said that many kids do it for scholarship, its great way to get a great education. And they do most of the training that military-bound kids do.
Corp hazing. Can't count how many times I've seen that damn nut-squeezing photo. Big deal. It's not a damn elephant walk, and they've got nothing on fraternities hazing. The corp is a weird fraternity with all the different outfits, and they go through hazing to bond. I'm not the biggest fan of the corp, they're cocky for some reason, but they're fine.
Greek Life. It's really growing at A&M. I would venture to say that 30-50% of girls are in sororities. Fraternities are lagging, but catching up. It's not really taboo at A&M anymore to be in a fraternity. More people are Greek than in the corp. They sometimes get a bad rap for showing up at halftime, but they love A&M just the same.

We all have misconceptions about our schools that the SECR rides mercilessly regardless. Just put your helmet on and be ready to go to war.

This reads like "here's a list of things that suck about us, and here's some spin to explain away that they don't really suck THAT bad"

And you say it's not gay...

How are you supposed to find space to tailgate if you can't set up on the grass??? And besides, from everything I've heard, it's only the grass on the football field that's a tribute to fallen soldiers.

Too spread out...IMO. Plus buildings look like giant gray tombs...and that includes...

Kyle field
Your whole concept of it being "arguably as loud as TS...well it might be if you didn't have an open end. LSU=Bowl Stadium=holds more noise. Texas A&M has an open endzone=not as loud as TS.

Aggies have hot woman, we should show them off

I hope you don't work in Marketing or Sales or any field where clear communication is vital.

I like aTm's stadium more than UT's or OU's. Something about the 12th man and the fans in that stadium. To me it's one of the must see stadiums/game experience in College and NFL.

Is the sacred grass roped off, or marked with signs? Or are visitors just supposed to know this beforehand?
