Believe me, Ive been living in Portland now for 5 years. This year has been an incredibly cool summer for the Pacific NW. I has only been in the eighties a couple of times so far this year. I say Oregon comes out in the first half in great condition, but by the 4th quarter they will be done.

Besides, the Ducks prepped in the MO center that can replicate the conditions where they play. (Temp and humidity)

On another note, LSU should be in better condition because of the heat they train in as opposed to what Oregon is used to.\

he's got a point, just bad wording

There is a point though were it will dog our players. Oregon's coaches are on record that they would much rather have cooler temps to get the pace they want.

Do you guys not remember the 2003 NCCG in the Superdome? It was an indoor stadium ... our guys were going into the locker room getting ivs. I remember hearing Jim talk about it during the radio broadcast and I was there ... remember seeing guys running in and out of the locker room. Didn't think that Spears and company could play another defensive play toward the end.

Now I don't remember it being a problem in the Georgia Dome for the SECCG in 2005 .. and yes, that game sucked ... bad.

It is an interesting point though:

LSU practicing in 98 degree, 115 Relative Humidity.
Oregon practicing in max. 80 degrees

LSU might get the better conditioning, but maybe not because Ducks might be able to go longer in practice and like it because they don't have to deal with the unbearable heat.

having to get IV is more an indication of dehydration than it is being in poor shape. Ask Patrick Peterson

Coaches are on record that our summer conditioning was the best we've had. I would expect both teams to be highly conditioned. We have to get 1st downs though for this to matter. Sustained drives will be at a premium in the game, so I don't expect tempo to be a factor (too much).
