Sounds like things have come down to threats of unleashing the lawyers on aTm and the SEC.
quote:

But that same Big 12 official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the talks, described the situation surrounding the potential A&M departure as changing, with the odds of it happening decreasing - from Friday being a 90-95 percent chance of leaving to "closer to 50-50, and tilting the other way," he said. Among the pending issues is the 13-year television deal with Fox Sports worth more than $1 billion that the Big 12, along with Texas A&M, agreed to in April. That contract could potentially be voided if Texas A&M leaves the conference, and that could lead to potential legal claims against the school and possibly the SEC if the Aggies went there.

The SEC has enough spare change to cover that.

Dammmmmmn Dr Drunk said that it wasn't going to be easy easy. Those bitches scared and talking about suing everybody. Wonder if Fox would risk the backlash that they would get to play that game with the Horns, especially with the way they are tied to ESPN with the LHN.

it's been stated elsewhere that if A&M approached the SEC first, the SEC wouldn't be liable for interference with the B12 contract.

I understand the SEC as an entity itself is different, but tU and the BIG 12 can try to sue a state school as much as they want, and I wish the best of luck to them. Ask A&M, they still havn't gotten the money we owe them, and never will.

"Nope. We absolutely DON'T CARE if A&M goes to the SEC. Leave already, will ya."

Quit threatening to sue us if we do, and get out of the way!!!

Do you guys see what we have put up with over the years. I fricking hate these cocksuckers. There is no way we keep playing them. No less than 3 full-stadium brawls would break out every year.

They didn't do jack when when Nebraska and Colorado flipped them off.

Piss on them. Bring it on.

I have not read the contract between Fox Sports and the Big 12...I am willing to bet it is quite lengthy.

However, being an attorney, I will reserve judgment on matter-of-fact statements as in the post above:
quote:

it's been stated elsewhere that if A&M approached the SEC first, the SEC wouldn't be liable for interference with the B12 contract.

Any possible legal action will entail breach, not interference. This could get very interesting.
