"we" is just a way to shorten a sentence. Nobody wants to say the saints or whatever every time they mention the team. Nobody thinks they are actually a part of the team. It's just the way sports fans talk.

This is understood by 99% of the population. Why he cannot grasp that concept, I do not know. Like I said, he's one of those "too cool and everyone else is stupid" types. All high society and shite. There are a few others around here that ride his thought process.
