Good hoops and solid football. Thoughts on them joining the SEC?

WV has less than 2 million people

Bastards should have thought about that when they seceded from Virginia during the 1860s.

true but there is no split loyalties its WVU football and thats it. So thats 1.9 million viewers right there.
WVU is a big out of state school with large fans/alumni in Pittsburgh,DC/Bmore, Philly, NYC/NJ, and Charlotte

I would rather see UNC then a Virginia team. Closer to home and a natural rivalry with USCe.

To be honest, I really don't know what Clemson would bring to the SEC that West Virginia wouldn't bring as well. The SEC already has the South Carolina market sewn up with USCe. West Virginia has clearly been the better football program for the last 15-20 years. They've done well against elite competition unlike Clemson. They have the better basketball program. How are they any better than West Virginia?

a gator fan doing anything to keep FSU out
uh SCar isn't "locked down" by USCe by any means btw

Good God! Aren't there enough hillbillies in the SEC already?

I actually thought about that after I submitted the thread.

I have no desire to go to Morgantown. And no, this isn't about the sugar bowl.
Who here really wants to have to go there?

Ya I'd agree.
We do have a high Percentage, but i'd say the state isn't all Gamecocks. (Clemson of course)
I'd even say the State has a good mount UNC and UGA fans (among the Out of State Schools)

I'd prefer going there to Morgantown but exactly. College station is already farther than hell. Clemson is a lovely journey, as is Talahassee

I think a game day trip to morgantown would change your mind its got the sec game day vibe to it. The only fans with bad things to say are Pitt and Auburn fans
Lol morgantown is a much funner college town than blacksburg
