That is completely irrelevant. The pool was a monstrosity wave pool and the waterpark was a big dumb slide (I never saw them in operation and I've been around here for about 8 years). They have a huge playground, a giant campground, frisbee golf course, and the gulf right across the street (but I would drive towards Waveland a bit and set up on a 'nice' beach).

well it seems that they are in phase 3 of construction so several other things are also closed. just mentioning it to give the guy some extra information.

That is what we do. Not hard at all to find an empty stretch. Water is nice and shallow as well.
