Friday night some good buddies from Austin are playing a concert at The Prophet Bar in Deep Ellum.

All of the guys went to LSU and are one of the best new bands in Austin.

Do yourself a favor and make it out...close enough to Uptown to pregame before and party after the show if Deep Ellum isn't your thing.

I read a while back about some bar having a block party for LSU fans on gameday with free shuttle service to the stadium. Anyone know the details?

The block party is at Humperdinks. The shuttle to the game is not free though. I think it was $10 or $15 per person for the shuttle. It was first come first serve. For the Cotton Bowl, the line was soooooo long for the shuttle that we just took a cab.

It's not on gameday.. it's Friday night before the game.

Waco isn't that far and College Station would be a stop on the drive home. I'm flying so I won't be able to do either. I will be at the Ranger game though.
