Russell Shep? Is he available to play for the Oregon game?

Did anybody elts know Russell Shep and Darron Thomas-Oregon's starting QB were first cousins? I never knew this until a moment ago on another site. Explains why LSU training reports say RS has picked up his game and is looking good. And it also explains DT not leaving UO all summer break to lead the guys hard in voluntary workouts. DT had said the two were texting jabs at each other for a long time now about this game. The boys will be playing in front of the same family in Dallas and it looks like a familiar cousin rivalry is in motion. I bet RS is not lacking any motivation to making this game.

The Faulk family and Kinchen family and the Hebert family are rocking some strong football genes as well.

One reason we almost had him. Les didn't want to play him at QB. Had he allowed him to try, LSU wouldn't be in a fickle going into next season without a proven back-up.

Saw him, Randle, and Faulk all chowing down on some sushi yesterday. I wanted to ask him but figured he didn't want to be bothered about it.
