2 LSU Pitchers on the Delgado Boosters team destroyed the Jesuit 5A High School State Champs (Retif Oil in the American Legion League) in an exhibition game at Delgado on July 20th.
Brent Bonvillain (Junior Transfer) - 5 complete innings allowed no runs, 2 hits, and struck out 12. In the last 10 innings pitched, he has struck out 23.
Joe Broussard (Returning Sophomore) - 3 complete innings allowed 1 run, 2 hits, and struck out 6
Stone Speer (UNO Junior Transfer) - 1 complete inning allowed no runs, no hits and struck out 2
In total, the current 5A champions where struck out 20 times for the 27 possible outs. Delgado won the game 4-1. Of note, Jesuit batted with non-bbcor aluminum bats and Delgado batted with wooden bats preparing for the AAABA tournament in Pennsylvania next month.

It's high school bro. Half those players would strike out playing in a men's adult baseball league.

LSU pitchers striking out some high schoolers...that isn't much of a feat.

No, man...they didn't just strike them out, they "destroyed" them!

if jesuit plays like they use to, then the SRs from the HS season dont even play legion ball

They don't. I saw Ehret legion give Jesuit a fight for awhile.

So a HS team got 4 hits.
Florida would get 16.
