The obsession with Alabama is crazy to me considering who they lost. I understand if they are being picked ahead of us, but the margin is just weird to me.

Good Gawd...the media sure does love them some BAMA.

Well I guess the Tigers will just have to put Alabama in their rightful place!

WTF why is Bama's OLine supposed to be so good?? 4 in either the 1st or 2nd team and we only have 1....

I hate the nick picking because I know the Bama fans will snicker about it....but I'd be willing to bet that if LSU had a QB spot not even won by a soph. yet because he's trying to fight off a RS Fresh., they'd be picked 3rd or 4th.
That's JMO.
I'm sure the Tide fans will take that and run with it.

Only 2 teams over the last 20 years have won the SEC with a starting QB who wasn't a Junior or Senior. Barker 92' and Greene 02'. So the way I look at it is Bama has a 10% chance of winning the Sec based on that fact.

The margin does seem to be great, but they are returning a good core of their defense. That will keep them in every game, if not win them.

Don't worry we will put the Updike's in their place.

That formula worked with a fantastic OL and a 4th year QB.
They don't exactly have that line anymore and def. don't have the QB.
The defense can win games, don't get me wrong, but they can only piggyback so much.

I was talking about this exact thing the other day with a friend. The glaring issue is that Bama is breaking in a new QB who looked like total crap in the iron bowl. Put that on top of the other spots they are replacing big names.....I just don't get it either.

Yeah, but that offense probably only needs 14 points to win their games

Am I the only one who thinks Tyrann is better than mark Barron?

I think you're putting too much stock into their defense.
I think LSU's defense is just as good. So in a way, can you say the same thing about LSU's offense? All they're going to have to do is score 14?
