How does he compare to past top Louisiana prospects...rueben randle, Jarvis Landry, lael Collins, freak, etc.

He plays a different position than all of them.

He is on par with all of them.
Hell, he was MVP of the Nike camp in Oregon.

Shouldn't thread titles have some substance in them. Especially ones concerning this recruit.

You're right, I contrasted instead of comparing. My bad.

Not on Rueben Randle, Freak or La'el's level. RR is probably the best WR in LA since Wayne and La'el is arguably the most dominant OL in Louisiana for at least a decade. Freak is probably the most dominant dlineman I can think of in Louisiana in the last 5-6 years at least. Probably longer. Yes, I know we've had guys like Dorsey but I'm talking about hype from HS. Go look at his lifting numbers. He is a freaking true freshman and sits at near the top in every category. He is called Freak and holds sack records for a reason...
Other than that...I think Collins is a beast and comparable to any other elite prospects to come out of Louisiana. I just think RR, Freak and La'el sit on their own levels. Rare elite players that come maybe once every decade. RR has just been completely unlucky with the QB situation. But he has shown glimpses of why he was so highly praised. If he had more opportunities he'd be considered a elite WR in college. I think he bust loose this year.

I hope things work out better for Freak and La'el than they have for Randle. Randle might be the most talented WR in the SEC this upcoming year (and argueably was last year) but his stats just don't back up the assertion.

1. La'el Collins
2. Freak Johnson
3. Reuben Randle
4. Landon Collins
5. Jarvis Landry

When he gets the ball in his hands he makes the first 2 and often times 3 guys that comes up to tackle him miss.. the guy is DAMN GOOD

Victim of probably the worst QB situation at LSU since I can remember. Not RR's fault.

Not even close.

I don't think Randle was better than Green or JJ last year. I do think he will be a 1,000+ yard receiver his senior year with Mett.

Dont think that will be happening
But as far as being better than Green or JJ he probably wasnt, but theres not way of us knowing that b/c he literally had no way of getting the ball last year, and wasnt the focal point of our offense. What little offense there was

Last time I checked, it will still be the same guy not getting him the ball this year. That's why it would be dumb for RR to leave after this year. His stock would be exponentially greater with Mett throwing to him as a senior.

From some of Avery Johnson's quotes that have been coming out from his convo with LM, it sounds like Randle will be going pro after this year

Who are you thinking was better in that time frame? As far as in high school/national ranking it's RR. As far as on field production...Richard Smith?
