This issue is extremely frustrating because nearly 100% of all LSU fans I know do not like Toonces. It is an embarrassing logo & is even joked about by fans from other schools. I have had a few lengthy conversations on FB with the LSU page administrator, who says it is more popular that I think, & it is easier to replicate for use on TV for scoreboards during games (may be some truth here). I am told that from time to time the school will alter & change its logo so just be patient. In the spirit of full disclosure, I just wish someone close to this issue within LSU would step forward & explain to the fans the basic terms of the Toonces contract (How much did the deal cost? Who specifically within LSU decided on Toonces? How much longer is LSU bound to Toonces contractually?, etc.) I believe most fans have become so frustrated with the Toonces logo that they have simply given up fighting it, but such apathy should not be confused with the acceptance of Toonces by the LSU administration.

Also, the name you guys have given it is terrible. Maybe the frilly fricking name adds to the perceived gayness of the logo.

There was a thread a few months back about this where someone said it cost something like $40-$50k for the logo. That may have included the geaux font also.
