About 6 or 8 years ago we used to catch a few bass every time we went near madisonville. I haven't been since. Is it still good for a few bass?

It is tough fishing with all the boat traffic on the weekends. There are bass there best time to try and fish there is early am before the pleasure and skiers are out or during the week when most all of us has to work. Idid pretty well in the early spring and the fall when there was not as much boat traffic caught most of mine on a 1/4 to 3/8 oz chartreuse and white spinnerbait and a small chartreuse and blue crankbait.

Yes Trivers the only bar on Lake road going to the boat launch at the old coast guard station where the Tchefuncte dumps into the lake.

THere are bass in many places on the river. You have to find less trafficed areas and definetly fish before the boaters and skiers hit the water.

Thanks. I'm not too familiar with the area...usually just fish around that island north of the landing.
