I bought four pounds of peeled shrimp for a remoulade. Can I just boil them as if they were in their shell? Do I need to adjust anything? Someone mentioned steaming them. Please help F&D. TIA.

I wouldn't boil them too long. Just really to heat them and cook. Season your water, bring to a boil, drop shrimp in and let cook probably about 5 minutes then pour into colander.

Let the remoulade be your seasoning. That's how I do it when making this.

i bring to a boil, shut off heat, drop in,go 2-3 minutes, add ice to stop cooking and let them soak until they sink in HIGHLY seasoned water

Same here and they come out perfect everytime. I add a little oil on ones with shells to help peeling
Original poster might try steaming them as well since they are already peeled

Ive never boiled peeled ones, but I wouldnt boil them very long or theyll shrink.

When I boil mine that have the shells on, I actually boil them for 5 minutes, turn the fire off, and then season them, put a few cups of ice in there, soak for about 15 mins and enjoy. Shells come right off and theyre seasoned to perfection (will make your lips burn-thats how I like em)
