I will always maintain that there was never a better decade to grow up in than the 90s. The sheer amount of great kids shows were ridiculous. As have been mentioned the superhero shows...Batman, X-Men, Spiderman, TMNT, Superman, etc. Then you had all the Nickelodeon shows...Rugrats, Doug, Hey Arnold, Ren & Stimpy, Aaah Real Monsters, Rocko, Pinky & the Brain, Tiny Toons, and the list continues.
This is just the cartoons!! Doesn't even include all the great live action shows like All That, Kenan & Kel, AYAOTD, Wild & Crazy Kids, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Salute Your Shorts, Pete & Pete ETC.
And THEN there's the fact of all the great kids movies with the Disney Renaissance, birth of Pixar, etc.
As far as I'm concerned 90s as a kid was where it was at!

80's were the best, that's when it was actually cool to be a couch potato.

1987-1996. I'd say that definitely counts as 90s (and 80s).
TMNT is definitely #1 for me (though I didn't catch too many cartoons in the 90s that I remember). But I'd like to point out that I, along with most kids in my school, was hooked on Beavis and Butthead for a good few years.

I still watch the X-Men series. Better than any of the movies IMO
Off topic, but did you Wolverine & the X-men?

X-Men is clearly the best 90s cartoon. Tiny Toon Aventures should be high on the list.

My initial though was TMNT. But I also recall Batman, X-Men, and Spiderman being must see toons, as well.
A lesser known one that I always enjoyed was James Bond, Jr. It was on early mornings before school, so I'd catch it during breakfast. I think it was on right before Power Rangers, which I always felt embarrassed to watch.

I agree. Some of the best cartoons IMO, are the ones that are entertaining to kids and adults. Batman was awesome to me as a kid and still is as an adult. Batman was one of the darkest kid's cartoons I can remember. It sucks with all this no violence BS now. All cartoons for kids now seem to be stupid and goofy.
