I'm thinking about picking up a "Like new" used PSE Pro Series Bruin with a hard case, release, some arrows, and a new string. Other stats are:

solid limb, ibo is 297, axle length 34.25", brace height 6.88, draw weight 50-60lbs, draw length 25-30"

He wants $250 for all of it. I'm totally new to bow shopping and couldn't find info on the Bruin at PSE's site; is this a good deal OB?

I'm not familiar with that particular model, but PSE makes good stuff. My dad shot one for 5 or 6 years (not top of the line PSE either) and had no complaints. It wasn't the quietest, fastest, most forgiving bow around, but it shot damn good groups. It was also easy to tune.

For a first bow, I wouldn't be scared.

Ehh you could prolly do better but that's not terrible. Carbon arrows I assume? What kind of release, sights, silencers, quiver etc?

I have a PSE I could live without that I got years ago and I never touched after 1 month of owning it. Bow hunting was a short lived phase for me. propagandalf [dot] td [at] gmail
