sad...this is probably an excuse so they don't get executed for losing to the US when they go home to North Korea...

Hasn't North Korea done something like that before to some of their athletes in the Olympics? Or was some other iron fist country?

I never heard of this actually happening. I read that they were threatened by Uday Hussein to have their legs cut off for losing, but never read that any of this was actually done.

These athletes probably believe that their country is all powerful and is led by the messia himself, and would just march into Germany and take them back.
