Amite River Bass Fishing

Anyone have any luck bass fishing in the Amite or should I stick to the catfish. If so where exactly are some bass producing spots. gracias

I used to fish alot out of Bayou Barbary and there are fish around there. I've have my best luck towards Clio.

At times you can catch plenty of bass in Petit Amite, but once word gets out they're biting all of St. Amant and Sorrento will be out there.

I have never heard of these places, are they part of the Amite river system

This is part of the lower Amite river. Usually theres not as much boat traffic.

yep. Bayou Barbary is about 10 miles east of French Settlement and Clio is just outside of Maurepas. Like previously said, mostly people fishing, not the joy riders/skiers like you'll see around the Diversion.

I grew up on the Amite/diversion wakeboarding. I get to banged up now wakeboarding so I was looking for something else to do in the after noons. I'll let yall knowhow dem bass bitin.
Has anyone ever had any luck fishing flat lake? Gonna try and scoot up in there later this week
