One half of the year has come and gone. I have tried a lot of new beers out there but these are at the top of their styles.
1. Firestone Walker- American Wheat Style
The brewery calls it a fusion with the Belgian
Saison. Unlike any American Wheat I've tasted.
2. Russian River Sanctification-American Wild Ale
From my favorite brewery. It is termed a Sour
Blond Ale on the bottle but the sour taste is
not too overwhelming.
3. Ballast Point Sculpin-India Pale Ale
For those of you that simply do not like IPA's
give this one a try. It is smooth.
4. Schlafly Summer Lager-St. Louis Brewing Co.
This one is as good as any German Lager and is
refreshing like Yeugling.
5. Heavy Seas Gold Ale-Clipper City Gold Ale
I picked up a sixer in Baltimore last week.
Gold/Blonde Ale is not my favorite style.
NOLA was the only one that I could session.
This beer is very drinkable.
Well, that is my fab five. Cheers

Good shite.
Too bad none of them are in the BR market.

I don't care for this beer. I must be the only person I know who goes to D.C. and doesn't come home with at least one case. Just isn't good IMO.

I don't always drink beer but when I do, I prefer Bohemia.

You know I noticed some those down at the local Circle K here. Might buy a keg of each and invite some friends over.
