If they miss a payment to ANY player, under teh rules, that player is IMMEDIATELY a free agent and can sign with any team he chooses...
Its basically breaking the terms of a contract..which voids it under MLB's agreement.

Quit dreaming folks. If he leaves the Dodgers, any MLB team can run at him and they ALL have the money to buy him out

The moment they can't make payroll MLB steps in and takes over the team, This would include making payroll.
