Well guys I got mine in yesterday and let it charge all night - NOTHING. I swapped the batteries hoping that that was the issue but if not I just took a $23 arse kicking via Hong Kong.
got mine yesterday, i also charged all night and NOTHING. tried car charger as well with both batteries. batteries had a little charged out of box and worked right away, charger seemed to kill batteries, now only works plugged in

Same here - and that POS car charger started smoking when I plugged it in yesterday.

Yea I had the same problem as you guys are having with charging it all night and then it not working. The problem is the battery is in the wrong way. I killed one of my batterys doing this. They aparently dont use the convention that the spring goes on the negative end, for this flashlight the spring goes on the positive end. In other words the positive end of the battery goes in the flashlight first. I poped my other battery in and charged it and bam this thing really is badass for 20$ will light up shite at 100 yards.

so which way does the battery go.

It sounds like positive end down towards the spring. IF I can get this thing to work then I have totally F'ED at least one of the batteries.

ok, there is a spring on bot sides small and large. so does positive side face led or screw cap?

Ok, mine has a spring in the botton (LED end) and a rounded knob type thing on the handle end. I'm going to go home and put my positive side down (towards the LED), let it charge overnight and see what happens.

I have the negative end of battery towards the screw on cap, the positive towards the led. Mine works fine, but I have only charged it once, and haven't used the car charger. I ordered mine from the guy on ebay located in Hong Kong. Maybe it's the ones from the USA supplier that are not working?

Mine came from a Hong Kong seller on eBay. My next one is coming from the California based supplier.

Then the "reverse" charge fried the battery. I'm afraid I may have done the same thing. Looks like a trip to radio Shack is in my future. This MF'ing flashlight better be worth the trouble.

I went to Battery Outfitters this morning - turns out the batteries were bad (could have been from me charging them with them inserted in the wrong direction) - needless to say the guy sold me a battery for it that he just happened to have and the flashlight is now Rockin with Dokken. He also showed me some different sized non rechargeable batteries that I could use in a pinch.
