quote:I dont know anything about the 1200's,but i would contact seller and get it replaced. Boats, i also broke my lanyard. does seem to be the weak point of the light.

i got my 1300lm in this past week (ebay #400224286119). what i didn't realize was that it didn't come with a battery. . so i ordered a rechargeable for it for <$4.00.
pros: very, very bright white light
good, wide beam w/o any "holes"
light weight metal-seems solid
cons: the "5 mode" brightness is a pain. you have to click it on and off all the way from 1 to 5 to get back to the brightest setting. they could have done away with the blinking & sos modes imo.
my testing is very limited (shining into the treetops in my neighborhood), but i feel these lights will be very good pieces of hunting equipment. thanks to everyone that has posted info & reviews of these lights!

You can usually push the button halfway down to cycle through the different modes without turning the light completely off (at least that's what mine did before it died ). You can also order ones with less modes (like bright, med, and strobe) or ones with "memory" that stay on the setting you last had it on when you turned it off.
