How would one learn a firearm with a 10/22 better than an AR?
1. Easier to use.
2. Easier to maintain.
3. Ammo/gun is cheaper
4. Easier to handle.
5. Can be shot in more places due to low caliber.
6. Quieter
7. .22 is better for learning long gun basics than anything.
Do I need to list any more?

1. load pull trigger reapeat. Jams happen in both.
2. 10\22 does require some good cleaning at times
3. 10\22 is cheaper but $$ is not an issue here on how a firearm works
4. easier? both light both low recoil
5. shot in more places? Most people go to a range. I doubt shooting cb caps in a neighborhood with a 22 to learn is a safe idea
6. what does quieter have to do with it
7. 22 is good if it is a single shot as a beginner tool as a child. But as an adult after about an hour I think you would want to move on.
