And yea someone wanting to get into guns is a good reason for civilians not to own them. That's pretty sound logic.

Rough crowd here this morning.
I honestly suggest getting a .22 before you dive off into a $1000+ AR. Buy a ruger 10/22. It'll run you a little over $200, but you can shoot it for close to nothing. A .22 is also the best way to get some gun smarts. Once you get some gun smarts, you can decide if an AR is really what you want.

I frankly don't feel comfortable knowing that civilians can have a rifle with a pistol grip. It looks dangerous.
