So according to ESPN there is progress being made but there are a few owners being resistant to some of the agreements taking place. It said that it was believed to be AFC owners. I wonder if it will come out what owners are being resistant and what type of backlash they will receive.

I'm guessing Kraft and Al Davis would be the 2 least likely to cede any advantage to the players. I would guess Jerry Jones and Snyder too but they're NFC.

They only have to have a certain percentage of owners agree to the new deal, so hopefully they focus on the ones that are being receptive already.

Al Davis can go frick himself if he's one of them. That guy offers nothing positive to the league anymore, and hasn't for 20 years.

One is the buffalo owner. He's like 107 years old and wears diapers.

Only 24 of the owners have to agree. The reason for some owners being upset is because the new deal would only throw the owners an extra 250 million to split. Far from the 1 billion they wanted.

is there any other industry where workers have so much say among their bosses? I guess they kinda have them by the balls....unless you wanna watch some CFLers take their place

I could definitely see someone very old school not wanting to give the players any power. Should throw in the Rooney family of Pittsburgh in with Ralph Wilson of Buffalo.

I seriously doubt he would be openly against the players especially with his boy Drew pretty much the chairman of the players.

Talks will continue Monday I believe and they're getting close. I see players' agents and team management clamoring at the end of the week like the new york stock exchange.

Jerry Richardson, owner of the Panthers, is prolly the most vocal hardliners against the players. He's the one that had a bitch n moan direct argument with Brees at the negotiating table. Look it up.

Is there any other industry int eh world where the worker is also the product. Maybe hookers, but thats illegal, and Al davis doesn't look like he can pimp slap anyone on the raiders roster at the moment.

So lets get this straight once and for all. The NFL is not like a real business. The players and replaceable factory workers. They don't have to shut up and play, so why should they if they feel like they are getting screwed. Sure they are getting millions for playing football but the owners are getting millions for just owning a football team.

So instead, why don't both parties take less money and give the savings to the fans for lower ticket prices.
