I know everyone has a rabid curiosity about this.
South Alabama will begin the two-year transition to the Football Bowl Subdivision this year, playing as a Football Championship independent.
Coleman Hornaday, S, Wofford-Graduate student, so he'll be immediately eligible with one year left. He had 27 Tkl, 2 TFL, 3 INT, and 4 PBU last year for the Terriers, who were the co-champions of the Southern Conference and advanced to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs.
Caleb Carbine, OL, North Alabama-Originally from Florence, Alabama, Caleb will be a walk-on and is expected to provide depth at the center position.

For those that don't already know about South Alabama Football...
We played as an unclassified team in 2009 and 2010. In 2011 and 2012, we will be an FCS Independent/Transitional FBS. In 2013, we'll be a full-fledged member of the Sun Belt.

He'll answer your question tomorrow so he can bump the thread.
I have another question for you buddy. What do you think yall's chances are against NC State now that Russell Wilson is transferring?

Right now? Probably not very well. Our next recruiting class should put us near the 85 scholarship mark and our 2011 signing class was pretty good by Sun Belt standards. Given a few years, I think USA has a chance to succeed.

We averaged 18,031 in '09 and 18,765 in 2010. We are second only to Troy in season tickets sold among Sun Belt Conference members, and we could possibly overtake them this year.

It would be nice if Coach Jones was still at BSC. He is a hell of a coach...

I have to admit that I wasn't blown away when he was hired, but I've been very impressed by Coach Jones.
