going to be in chicago in a couple of weeks and want to splurge one night and get a nice cut of prime meat... any suggestions would be appreciated

might be kind of cheesy, but I like the hell out of Morton's steak houses and the original is in Chicago....I'd find it and eat there before I left the city...

If you want to spend out the wazoo and have a great meal David Burke's Prime is the way to go.

I would avoid Gene & Georgetti - that was my one misfire meal up there.

David Burke's Primehouse gets a lot of enthusiasm.

Weber, no. Gibson's is OK. G&G is fine, too.

I really enjoyed the Chophouse...

all of these are biased on personal taste, so I would say, just look around and choose one.

Just not fricking Ruth's or Sullivan's for frick's sake!

Hary Carey's is good.

Ditka used to have a good place, but I dont know if it is still open.
