They might announce one this E3. 343 studios has been hard at work on something.

suppose to re-release and tweak Halo CE/1 for multiplayer
been talking about it for a year or so, hope they do the right thing because that would sell out the arse.
latest I read was a short snippet....
will be coming out this fall, and it will be made by 343 Industries, who will also be picking up the entire Halo franchise since Bungie is leaving Microsoft.

From what I understand a Halo:CE remake will be released and a Halo 4 is still to be decided.

After playing COD for so long (i played halo up until about this year) I went back to reach... Holy shite ps2 graphics compared to what's out now.

i read somewhere that a re-release of halo 1 was a rumor so who knows. it would be pretty sweet if it were true.

Microsoft owns Halo, so they're going to pump them out until they are no longer profitable.

Yeah, general consensus is a Halo 1 remake by 343. Bungie is completely done with the whole Halo franchise. 343 may take over from now on. Anyone who has the rights to Halo would be dumb to not make some form of successor. It's a jackpot of profits! It's a shame, though. I don't think Bungie will ever come out with anything remotely close to halo in terms of popularity. I'm labeling the studio as a one-hit wonder.
