The pub was actually in Hatcher. And I thought it was a really good idea!

I remember the cafeteria was in the basement of Hatcher. Grits and eggs for breakfast.

The drinking age was 18 back then and they didn't card anyone. Most of the dorms were unairconditioned back then. Are there any unairconditioned dorms left?

Exactly. The Pub was right next to the cafeteria. One night a friend of mine and I were having a beer at The Pub. We both lived in Johnston. We were sitting at a small table near the door. He tells me, "Go hold the door open for me." I gave him a look like a cow staring at a new gate. "Go get the door!" he says. Ok, so I go open the door and stand aside. He grabs the table and dashes out of The Pub. He needed the table for his room.
