Hard to find birds and clean water with all the shrimp boats out there but we were able to find some trout.

Do you freeze those sand trout? We've always kept a couple to fry fresh that evening, but never freeze them because someone once told me they fall apart or taste shitty, or something.

Just wondering, because I took their word for it and never tried to keep a lot...

Yeah we'll do a fresh fry most likely but we freeze them in water and they taste brand new when we defrost them. Make sure to keep white trout cold though.

yea in my experience as long as you keep the white trout cold they are fine. I dont freeze any of my fish in water, I vacume seal everything

yea I started doing trout and reds about 4 years ago and they freeze real good vaccumed sealed, no freezer burn and taste fresh. The only downside of it, is vacume sealing a 3 man trout limit can take some time
