It's like Silent Hill. Most of the horror stems from the fact that you can't really defend yourself. It's a lot easier in games where you constantly have a gun pointed in front.

It looks scary, but unfortunately I don't have a powerful enough PC to play computer games

Played the game halfway through but never got a chance to beat it yet. I know they released a DLC for the game recently too.

this is not part of my "board nuke". legitiment question. was fear that good? last scary games ive played is silent hill and resident evil (its been a while). havent even played bioshock.

FEAR and FEAR 2 were both good games, but they weren't really scary. Bioshock isn't supposed to be scary and it isn't, but it is a really atmospheric game. I would say the last game that truly scared me was Resident Evil 4 for Gamecube. But I've heard Amnesia is legit scary, though.

Yeah man I don't scare easy either.
FEAR and FEAR2 made me jump in a couple spots but they weren't overly scary. And the best part of FEAR2 was the mech part, pewpew
Amnesia is so scary because you can't defend yourself. If you see a baddie you have to run and hide in the darkness, but as you're in the darkness your sanity level drains so you have to go into the light after a while. I'm currently at a part where the entire place is knee-deep in water and some invisible monster is constantly following me. I have to jump from box to box because if I go in the water the thing starts killing you, takes 3 hits. Every time I jump from box to box my heart skips a beat, and every time I land in the water I get scared as frick. No other game as ever invoked such feelings from me before. It's AWESOME. It's incredibly immersive.

Great game. It scared my computer so much that my motherboard melted and I had to get a new one.
