Is there a team not playing in a conference tourney next week that we could scrimmage on Thursday and Friday just to stay sharp? Is there a rule that would prohibit this?

Maybe you should see my original post in the Regional Pitching Rotation thread since you've already posted this in it. I said "assuming we are in a Regional" in that thread. Since we're going to practice this week as if we will be playing in a Regional, could we scrimmage someone?

Did Southern win their tournament, or is the final tomorrow? When they win they normally play some games since their tournament is early and they are off for a weekend.

I don't think we can because we've already played the maximum allowed 56 games.

Correct. We can not play anyone. We have played our alloted 56 game max. No other contests, even scrimmages can occur.

Why can't we just have our starting pitchers pitch to our starters for a few innings each? Then, the rest of our pitchers pitch to the back-ups/hitting pitchers to give our fielders the work?
Really, this situation will probably be handled similar to the annual purple/gold 3 game series.

I would suspect there may be an NCAA regulation prohibiting schools from playing each other after the season.

Im sure that we will be doing several good drills this week to stay in shape and prepare for a regional. Were in and thats that.
