ETA buying out a Player still counts against your cap number unless his contract is specifically written in a certain way to make it completely voidable

The NBA owners have much more bargaining power than NFL owners because they arent squabbling over splitting profits, they are negotiating to save a third of the league from going under. Even getting salaries cut is better than losing 100 jobs

Part 1- Among other things, some intersting stuff about how the proposed "franchise tag" would work. Not nearly as team friendly as the NFL

i don't think that 10+ teams are "going under"
