That's not several. That's two. And those two are both highly recruited by big colleges. Where do you think these college athletes come from? Not that hard to grasp that the top 2 high school kids in any event in the whole state should be collegiate level.
Regardless of whether it's several or two, the point I made was that it's not nuts to think HS kids could compete in the SEC T&F championships. That said, Sylve in the 100, Cox in the Jav, and Duplantis in the PV could all compete in the SEC as well. Those three in addition to the other 2 make several in my book.

Alright, so there might be 4 kids(not Sylve) in the whole state, girls and boys, who could have placed in the SEC meet. What is unusual about that? Its not unheard of to have basketball players (e.g. Greg Monroe, Semoine Augustus) who could start for any college team in the nation as high schoolers. Those are the kids who end up being college stars.
Most of these guys placing in the SEC were studs in high school. Plenty of them could run almost as fast as they do now in high school. A lot of 18 year olds are full grown and maxed out on how fast they'll get.
I just don't understand how it's reflective of the talent level to have a couple of college level kids running in high school. The only weak events in the SEC are the distance events, and they are far weaker in Louisiana high school. By your logic, the Big Ten sucked Lebron James' senior year of high school because a high schooler was far better than the whole league
