Red Diamond Cabernet Sauvignon.
This used to be my "go to" wine but I haven't opened a bottle in months b/c I've been trying other wines. Last night was the first time in a few months that I opened a bottle and I was surprised that I still like it.
It retails for less than $10 (I've seen it from $6.99 to $10.99) and is one of the best values I've found.
"The Other" from Peirano Estate is a $10 wine that is also very good and easy to drink. I usually keep a few of these around to open when I'm around people who don't drink a lot of wine.
Finally, Orin Swift 2009 Palermo
Cabernet Sauvignon.
I think this was just released in April and it retails for $25-$30.
Tonight is the first bottle I've opened, and so far it's really good and only getting better.
What have you been drinking?

a Burgundy wine. usually runs about 40 bucks a bottle at bars/restaurants. i ordered a few bottles online for around $26 though. may be too fruity for some, but I like that. gentle tannins, light-bodied, bright red in color. had it tonight with some gruyere. paired well.
that reminds me.. i've been wanting to make mac and cheese with gruyere.
