While i agree no country today would want to invade the US, I just don't think it would be as easy as some make it sound to defend the country and wipe out the invading force..

We have ports all over this country and a good interstate system to move goods...so to think an invading force could not use these would be pretty narrow minded.

The object is not to wipe them out, just break their morale, create enough injuries, etc. Wars are not won by "wiping the other guy out."

So you think all the ports and roads would come through an invasion unscathed? Where would the workers be to unload the ships, repair the roads, etc? You don't think there's enough explosives around to take out bridges, etc?

I think most people (like I know I would) would realize that they have family to protect and wouldn't risk leaving them. This is why that a lot of the "rebel" armies are made up of young men/boys. However, resistence comes in many different forms.
