Last Sunday, the Celtics/Heat & Memphis/OKC series started. Let's just call this "Group A"

The Bulls/Hawks & Lakers/Mavs started their series the next day. So we'll call this "Group B"

So,

Sunday = Group A's game 1s
Monday = Group B's game 1s
Tuesday = Group A's game 2s
Wednesday = Group B's game 2s

This gave each group a day off between games

They then had no games scheduled on Thursday, and resumed tonight with Group B

This means that Group B continues the pattern of having a day off between games, while Group A resumes their games tomorrow night, giving them 3 days off and a HUGE advantage over the those teams in Group B

WTF is up with that? Why isn't Group A playing tonight, which would continue the pattern? That Thursday night off did nothing for group B

Or better yet, why didn't Group A play yesterday?

And I know their is a hockey game in Boston tonight, but they could have played that shite tomorrow

Well no matter who played tonight wouldn't you still have someone with a 2 day off advantage?

If group A played tonight, they would have had 2 days off, (last played Tuesday and had Wed/Thur off)

Then B would have played tomorrow and had 2 days off as well, (last played Wednesday and would have had Thur/Fri off).

The way it stands now:

Group A has 3 days off
Group B has 1 day off

So what, both teams get the same amount of days off. Hopefully the mavs will be resting Sunday night awaiting the Oklahoma city thunder after a grueling 6 game series

When they made the 2nd round schedule, Spurs/Griz had a chance to go to 7. Thursday was reserved for game 2 of WCSF. They did not schedule a game 3 the same day as a game 2. In order to keep the timeslots they wanted, one WC and one EC game need to be played each day. They figured they'd just keep the games on the same day rather than switching it to Heat/Celtics, Mavs/Lakers today.

Call it stupid, but that's the logic behind it in my estimation.
