What's the word on Jasper?

I know all the talk was about PP7 going so high or TT not going at all, but what is the word on Jasper as a NFL kicker? I know PK's usually go undrafted anyways, and with the lockout, rookie FA's can't sign, but how do we think he'll do in the pros?

My only worry is kick offs. He doesn't have the ability to get touchbacks in the NFL, but every other part of his game (accuracy, ability to hit 50 yarders, pooch punting, fakes) is awesome. Jasper, Kai Forbath, and Dan Bailey should all get a look in the NFL.

Don't forget they changed kick-offs which should benefit him

With the kick off line being moved up his leg strength is less of an issue.

"I think Josh will make a team," NFL draft expert Mike Detillier said. "Josh is a very consistent field goal kicker. I would suspect the team that will get Josh is Dallas. The Cowboys had a lot of interest in him, and I really thought they would draft him."

Would make sense with Buehler to do kickoffs.
Even with the 35 yard kick off, I think Jasper would be one of the worst guys in the NFL, but his accuracy is so good that I think teams without elite kickers would be willing to give up one roster spot.

Jasper can boot it in the endzone as good as anyone else...LSU opted for hang time most of the time due to such a good cover unit that had the ability to cause turnovers....

isnt it just being moved up 5 yards to where the college line is?

i'm sure he will be invited to camp by somebody... whether or not he actually makes it is a crap shoot. it's so friggin hard to make it as a kicker that's for sure.... i know he was lights out here but the nfl is already full of lights out groza award winners with ice in their veins.

apparently Seattle called him during the draft.

My guess is he has a good shot at Dallas.

Since he went undrafted it doesn't matter. He's frozen until a new labor agreement is reached and the lockout ends. UFL is trying to snatch guys like this up.

I was going to say if I were Jasper I'd call the Cowboys, They suck at kicker
