I can and plan to use the chucks (Apple and Hickory) Thinking of trying chicken wings first? Looks like a few hour smoke time then on the pit to crisp up the skin. Any hints or suggestions?

My smoker is propane and vertical so you think ribs would be better to start than chicken wings?

Chicken wings? Wow been smoking different stuff for years and there is an item I never had a want to smoke. You wouldnt end up with crispy wings they would be kinda messy. You would probably want to smoke until cooked to temp then drop in a fryer or over high heat to crisp them up.
