I disagree...if they start adding/provoking drama in the show it will turn out just like American Chopper. I think the show is just fine.

New Captain of the CM isn't going to last. He has two guys under him who actually combined own half the boat. He can't tell them shite and his crew doesn't respect him. At least, not yet.

You can't blame him for trying to battle the complacency that's bound to be on the boat. It's going to be a completely new style and he wants it to be his, rightfully so. Should be interesting.

I doubt there's much complacency. Regardless of how Discovery tries to cut things together, those guys are professional fisherman. They no the only make money while they are fishing. He's just trying to assert his dominance. Getting into a shoving match with your mechanic is not a good way to do it.
I know what he's trying to do, but he seems a little over the top. Also, he seems to be playing to the cameras already with his constant "private" walks with Josh.
