How long do you guys (and gals) store gasoline and and still use it? Ive got about 12 gallons (already mixed with oil) that I'm pumping out of my boat.
I plan to mix it in with fresh gasoline throughout the season.
Outboard Mercury 150.
What say ye?

I dont know, but using a fuel stabilizer has made my life better

I keep fuel treatmant in the gas thats in my boat at all times so 2-3 months would not and has not been a problem for me. Untreated fuel that has Ethanol in it i would not go past 2 weeks...JMO!

Gas looks clean. It is the same color it was when I put in in the boat last October. Still smells really strong.
Normally, Id use it to start a bonfire. Now that gas is expensive as a kicking fricking Asian chicken, I plan to reuse it.
Got a good stabilizer to recommend?

5 months...but I buy ethanol free gas and use stabil

Agreed...running ethanol gas that's more than a few weeks old always gives me engine trouble. I've got one gas station that sells ethanol free gas I always go to, and I had a tank last me from January til march fine with no fuel treatment. That's the longest I've really tried

I use Marine Stabil and Seafoam in everything i own.

I have used Stabil and the Quicksilver one...I think I prefer Stabil, the Quicksilver one has my engine smoke a tad more.
But both have helped me out over the past few years.

My boat sat for almost two years with 30 gallons of gasoline and oil. I worked it into my car; about a gallon after each fill-up. No problems.

Quickkeen/Quicksilver will make the engine smoke more because it is de-carbonizing the engive. Watch that your plugs don't foul too.It is great stuff.
Where in BR is a non-ethanol station please?

I always leave gas in my boat's gas tank. I pretty much use it year-round.

I use Stabill Ethanol treatment and Mercury Quickleen at all times

On the sailboat I barely use gas so I'll have it sitting in there for quite awhile. I don't use ethanol. I do use stabil. And my tank is in a covered hatch that doesn't do radical temp changes every day so it's not so bad on condensation. I've gone probably six months with the same five gallons at times.
I feel for you guys with the gas guzzlers. If you wanted to be on the water as much as me you'd be spending a fortune. Not that you can't spend a fortune on a sailboat. It is a boat.

Marine Stabi works.Lotta people tout Starbrite Startron but my engines enjoy marine stabil with Merkleen plus there are two stations by the marina that sell ethanol free fuel.

Ethanol free gas makes all the difference in the world IMHO. My motor is a lot harder to start and idles like shite if I run gas with ethanol. Mileage is noticeably worse as well.

If you are running 2 cylce Mercs, try using seafoam instead of Quickleen. Much cheapper in the long run and keeps the plugs looking new.

I've never filled up in BR, Stump's on airline in Gramercy is where I fill up. I had a link to
